umm she’s missing the whole concept of the fashion figure being 9 heads long…. the fashion figure is majority legs. sorry but I feel this isn’t correct. Also the industry works with marker paper and use markers for Rendering* a garment

Well, I have a professional book on the subject of fashion design and it tells me 8 heads long. Maybe you’re right, I don’t know.

  15. marky8418 says:

I guess its all up to you… but if you look at the fashion figure, You’ll see exagerated legs and small torso’s and almost inhuman posing. Joints are a bit distorted all to give an illusion.

  16. csldeljcljnl says:

Oh, I just looked in my book and it actually said 8 1/2 heads, because the average human is 7 1/2, but to only add the extra head below the waist.

It was never a secret this is the proper proceedures when anyone goes to any fashion design school…I was taught this at fashion institute of technology and at parsons school in nyc in the early 80′s This was always the technique and the most original one. In these days there are many technigues now to make it easier. but this technique she showing is the best…..
