Best technique to color your fashion sketches?

Im working on a project for college application
I have the option to color my sketches but I don’t have to,
I think coloring them would look best but then again I don’t know which technique would be the easiest since Im a beginner, I might end up leaving them uncolored because Im afraid of ruining it.

what do you use? whats the easiest technique for beginners?

I would start with colored pencils, because you will have more control. Once you get comfortable with colored pencils, try adding gauche as a base color — it’s thicker than watercolor, and you can build up it’s opacity. As you get better with the gauche you’ll be able to use it as color coverage more and more. Gauche can be watered down or you can use it straight out of the tube.

Just practice and play with both as much as you can and you’ll find that you’re getting better and better with every illustration you do.
